What is The Will Campaign?
The Will Campaign brings together a group of well-respected local lawyers to give members of the public a chance to have their basic will and/or power of attorney written at a fraction of the typical cost.
- Basic Will: $150 each
- Basic Power of Attorney: $50 each (Personal Care, Continuing Property)
Our participating lawyers are donating 100% of their time to ensure that you have an up-to-date will and that your wishes are respected.
Why should I get my will done?
Getting your will done means peace of mind for you and your loved ones. A will allows you to lay out how your estate will be distributed; who the executor will be; and how your children, other dependents or loved ones will be taken care of in the event of your death. It can also help minimize the taxes your beneficiaries will have to pay.
An up-to-date will written by a lawyer ensures your wishes are respected and it avoids difficult decisions and legal complications for your loved ones.
Will the price be guaranteed?
The prices we list are for a basic will and/or powers of attorney. Additional time that may be required for more complex services will be discussed with you at the time of your consultation and additional fees will be payable to the lawyer at the lawyer’s regular rate.

When can I participate?
The Will Campaign is offered throughout the year at your own availability. We want to ensure we remain flexible within your busy schedule.
Does the charity get a copy of the will?
No. The only documentation that we receive is the online registration form that you completed on our website.
In cases where you, or your loved ones, wish to leave a specific gift in your will to a charity such as the Lung Health Foundation (via bequest, life insurance or gift of securities), you can inform the Lung Health Foundation directly. Where do the dollars raised go?
All proceeds raised through The Will Campaign will benefit your community by:
- Promoting healthy breathing by fighting for policies that protect our air and educate Ontarians about what they can do to promote their own lung health
- Supporting and advocating for those living with lung disease and fighting to challenge the stigma
- Finding future solutions and cures to diseases through education and research to deliver a future of better breathing for all
How does this work?
The first step is to register for The Will Campaign by filling the online form below.
Once you complete and submit the online form below with all the information, the Lung Health Foundation will contact you and refer you to an available lawyer in your region who will discuss with you next steps in completing your basic will and/or power of attorney.
You may be asked to attend the lawyer’s office for an initial consultation or be sent a questionnaire that will assist the lawyer in completing your estate planning documents.
You will be asked to make a donation to the Lung Health Foundation for the total amount of the services agreed upon during the initial consultation. Your participating legal professional will forward the donation directly to the Lung Health Foundation on your behalf.
Please note that unfortunately, we cannot issue you a tax receipt for your contribution, as there is a benefit to your donation.
