Asthma medication during pregnancy

Healthy breathing is vital to a healthy pregnancy!

Asthma inhalers and other asthma treatments are generally considered safe for you and your baby. Poorly controlled asthma is generally a much greater risk than any possible side effects from asthma medicine.

When you find out that you’re pregnant, continue to take your medications as prescribed and make an appointment with your usual healthcare provider. They will weigh the benefits of treatment against any risks, with the goal of keeping your asthma well controlled.
