Money Matters and your lung health journey

Do you have questions about navigating finances while living with lung cancer or with a chronic lung disease?

The Lung Health Foundation, in partnership with Wellspring, will be hosting a one hour webinar to discuss ways to navigate finances while living with cancer or other chronic diseases.

Topics will include:

  • Government income replacement programs (EI, CPP, OW, ODSP)
  • Workplace income replacement programs (short-term and long-term disability)
  • Drug Reimbursement
  • Managing out of Pocket Expenses
  • Health and Travel Insurance

There will be an opportunity to send in questions ahead of time as well as ask them during the session.

Speaker Profile

Ilene Shiller is the Manager of Financial and Workplace Programs at Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation. In that capacity, she meets one-on-one with clients through the Money Matters Program and leads the Returning to Work, Wellness at Work, and Brain Fog support and education programs. Ilene specializes in the areas of income options for people who are too sick to work (including government and workplace benefits) and return to work issues when patients are in the recovery stages. Ilene leads workshops for patients and cancer organizations and trains health care professionals.

Ilene holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.
