Living with COPD can feel isolated, especially for people in remote communities or those without regular access to specialized care. For Louise, a participant in the Lung Health Foundation’s My Lung Health Coach program, that isolation was very real.
“I am alone up here… but the Lung Health Foundation and my coach, especially, have been so wonderful in reaching out.”
Through My Lung Health Coach, Louise found more than education about her COPD. She found support, confidence, and someone to help her navigate the challenges of living with a lung condition, all from the comfort of her home.
Why My Lung Health Coach Matters
My Lung Health Coach is a free, evidence-based program delivered virtually by our Certified Respiratory Educators (CREs). It’s designed to:
- Provide personalized support to help people manage their COPD
- Offer tools and education for everything from breathing techniques to nutrition
- Reach people in communities where access to care can be difficult
- Connect participants with resources, programs, and peer support networks
This service is entirely free for participants like Louise — but the demand for it is growing every day.
