Building on the legacy of the Ontario Lung Association
Meet the Lung Health Foundation
At the Lung Health Foundation, we support and empower Canadians living with lung disease. As a trusted charity and non-profit, we use community programs, local education, research, and advocacy to raise awareness and build a caring space for people with lung conditions and their caregivers. We are dedicated to improving lung health across Canada.
Our story
At the Lung Health Foundation, we are here for the 1 in 5 Canadians who live with lung disease, and for the people who care about them. We are Canada’s largest lung health charity and a trusted non-profit, leading through education, research, and advocacy. Rooted in the legacy of the Ontario Lung Association (OLA), we became a national group in 2020 to close gaps in care, support, and awareness across Canada. Our work is built on real stories, real people, and a strong drive to make change.
From asthma to COPD, from lung cancer to lung disease, we share trusted evidence-based programs, fund new research, and speak up for policies that protect and improve lung health. We do this with national and global partners, so no one has to face this journey alone.
We are the Lung Health Foundation, and we are here for all Canadians.

We offer COPD patients programs and resources to keep them out of hospital, so they can live their lives to the fullest.
Asthma
We're working to ensure that no one loses a loved one to asthma.
Smoking Vaping Prevention and Cessation
We provide support and education to ensure that future generations don’t suffer the debilitating effects of lung disease caused by tobacco, cannabis, or vape products.
